Terms and Conditions

Know the ground rules: smooth adventures start here.

Registration

Registration can be completed electronically or in writing on paper. By registering, the "Terms and Conditions" are accepted as part of the participant and echo tours contract. Upon receiving the registration, echo tours will send the participant an electronic or written confirmation along with the invoice.

Participation Requirements

Good health is required for all tours and courses. Equipment must be in good condition and fully comply with the provided list. Participants must meet the physical fitness requirements outlined in the tour description.

To ensure a positive group experience, all participants are expected to demonstrate tolerance for the individual traits of other group members and to be considerate of their varying levels of ability. Participants agree to follow the guides' instructions for the safety and well-being of the group.

If any of these requirements are not (or no longer) met, echo tours reserves the right to exclude a participant from the event at short notice, either at the start or during the activity. In such cases, no refunds will be issued.

Program Changes

Generally, each tour or course is guaranteed to occur once enough participants have signed up. However, echo tours are dependent on local conditions. Participants assume the risks associated with weather, flight disruptions, or restricted areas and must be prepared for significant changes to the itinerary, location, travel, or accommodations. Any additional costs incurred will be charged to the participant.

If a tour is cancelled due to adverse conditions, a refund will be issued, or the booking can be rescheduled upon request.

Final Tour Information
Any changes will be communicated no later than 2 days before the tour begins (by 5 PM). It is the participant's responsibility to be reachable by phone or email.

Payment

Upon receiving the booking confirmation, a deposit must be paid within 14 days. For last-minute bookings (less than 2 months before the tour begins), the full price is due. If payment is not received on time, echo tours reserves the right to cancel the contract and charge cancellation fees as outlined in the section "Cancellation by the Participant."

  • 2 months before the tour begins: 100% of the tour price.

Cancellation by echo tours

echo tours reserves the right to cancel courses, tours, and trips due to unforeseen dangers in the destination country or insufficient participants.
If echo tours cancels the tour, the full price will be refunded. Further claims are excluded.

Insurance

The participant is responsible for ensuring adequate coverage for accidents and illness, including coverage for search, rescue, recovery, and repatriation costs. In addition to membership with Rega or equivalent assistance insurance, we strongly recommend also taking out cancellation insurance.

Personal Responsibility and Risk

The participant acknowledges that they are responsible for their actions and well-being during the tour. Participation is at their own risk. By signing up, the participant accepts all risks associated with the tour, including those arising from the environment, weather conditions, and physical exertion. Echo tours is not liable for any damages or injuries that may occur during the tour, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Data Protection

Echo tours is committed to protecting the privacy of its participants. Personal data provided during the registration process will only be used to organize and manage the tour. This information will not be shared with third parties without the participant's consent, except where required by law. Participants have the right to access, correct, or delete their data at any time.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies to all contracts between echo tours and the participant. The place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from the contract is the headquarters (Basel-Stadt) of echo tours, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.

Note

Any changes to the terms and conditions will be communicated to participants in a timely manner. Participants are advised to read and familiarize themselves with these terms before signing up for a tour or course.

The term "echo tours" refers to the sole proprietorship (Einzelfirma) of Tobias Jenni.
